1. When the thickness of the stamping part is less than 2 mm, choosing a thinner stamping plate can improve the accuracy of the stamping part.

Generally speaking, metal molds have higher requirements on surface quality, mainly because it contains metal fibers, which are difficult to punch and can be processed to improve punching accuracy and efficiency. 2. When the thickness of the stamping part is greater than 4 mm, attention should be paid to whether to select the plate with grooves and the size of the die when selecting the plate.
When choosing a plate with grooves, pay attention to its thickness, and the surface of the plate with grooves should have a good wear-resistant layer. If the groove on the sheet is too small, it is easy to damage the sheet during stamping, thereby affecting its surface quality. In order to improve the overall performance (such as strength and hardness) of stamping parts and improve the surface quality, materials with high hardness should be used. And some alloy materials usually have better hardness, so it can improve the surface quality of stamping parts. When selecting a sheet with grooves, it is necessary to pay attention to whether the surface quality can meet the requirements. If the quality is not good, it will affect the overall performance of the stamping parts, thereby reducing the service life of the stamping parts.
3. When the thickness of the stamping part is greater than 4 mm, a mold with a small thickness should be selected. In the case of the same material, the larger the selected material, the better.
However, when the thickness is greater than 4 mm, a large mold cannot be used, otherwise it will cause a lot of stress and deformation during the production of the part. In addition, if the mold has special requirements, such as size, material, etc., how to use the mold instead of the material must be considered. When the product is not allowed to be bent, a mold with a larger material cannot be selected, because when bending, the material cannot be completely filled, otherwise shrinkage deformation will occur. During the stamping process, the material may be deformed, so the choice of material must be careful. Selecting the appropriate stamping die according to the material is also an important factor to ensure stamping quality.
