Stainless steel stamping parts processing customization
With stamped, bent and drawn parts made of stainless steel, we offer you flexible solutions for demanding tasks. As a proven development partner in forming technology and metalworking, we are very familiar with the various types of stainless steel and know exactly which type we recommend for a specific application.
Stamping parts, bending parts and drawing parts made of stainless steel have relatively higher requirements on molds than other ordinary metals.
As a material, steel already has a series of favorable material properties. For stamped, bent and drawn parts made of stainless steel, these properties are more pronounced depending on the purity of the material. For example, we can manufacture products for you that are particularly resistant to high temperatures, chemicals, light weight or high electrical conductivity. Based on our expertise and many years of experience, we must work with you on a case-by-case basis to decide which stainless steel and its properties are best for your application.

Use stamped, bent and drawn parts made of stainless steel for your industry
Whether in the automotive and mechanical engineering sectors, as well as in the construction industry and technical consumer goods, the list of industries that use stamped, bent and drawn parts made of stainless steel is numerous. However, while stainless steel has many different properties, this material may not always be the best fit for your application. For steel, copper and brass, as well as aluminium, we offer you a wide range of high-quality alternatives.
What is a stainless steel stamping part?
Stainless steel stampings are mass-manufactured products from flat semi-finished stainless steel plates. Stamping products made of stainless steel 304/316l/430/310s etc. as materials. Fast processing times and consistent high quality, even in large batches, make stamping an indispensable basic technology.
Due to the short cycle times in the production process, stainless steel stamped parts are very inexpensive compared to machined or thermally manufactured products.

How are stainless steel stampings made?
The stainless steel material is machined into the desired shape in the form of strips (coils) on a punch press with a progressive die. Stamping is a non-cutting forming process. Stainless steel is processed by the action of upper and lower tools during the stamping process. When the indenter is lowered, the punches of the tool begin to move relative to their respective counterparts, the die, and the stainless steel sheet is cut, formed or drawn in one stroke. The die is guided in the punch to support any lateral forces that may occur and to produce high quality strokes in succession and avoid wear.
The cutting gap between the cutting punch and die is approximately 0.1 mm per mm of sheet thickness. It ensures that the material is only cut to about a third of its material thickness. This creates high tension, which causes the remaining material thickness to break along the cut contour with a loud bang. This type of material cutting is required because the best results are obtained using the cutting edge.
As a follow-up to the cutting-edge machining of your components, we can provide drum deburring or vibration grinding if required.
What are the surface characteristics of stainless steel stampings?
The surface of the stainless steel stamping corresponds to the surface of the sheet used – except for the cut surface. Imprints of the molding die or material-related changes on the surface due to the high probability of molding are part of the typical appearance of stamped parts. After the stamping process, further processes can be initiated to prepare the product for its intended use.
